  4. Okay, how long should we wait until we start discussing the story in depth? (I would hate to spoil someones enjoyment of the story by taking the surprises out.)

On a different note - you do realize you are offering up a fun challenge in creating some of these dishes you talk about =)

  6. A great series to follow Blood Destiny! Thought you could not top Lissa, however Reah comes very close.

And I could think was "Poor Tory!!" I realize he is not exactly who should have my sympathy for, I my heart goes out to Reah every other page, dangit. Still. SO GOOD!

    2. I agree though. Poor Tory! He was already concerned he was going to scare her. Now his alternate form has gone and done what it did. I know he would have gone the tranquilize route if it was possible.

    1. Thanks! At least I only make you suffer for a month, generally speaking :) Demon Revealed will come along in November :D

  9. True, so true. So for the cliff hangers, unlike the old tv shows that ended "... so tune in next week to find out if so and so lived..." its ...so tune in next month." (though with Ashe its going to be a three). I still am very happy. Most books you have to wait half a year to a year or MORE. So thank you Connie from the bottom of our addicted hearts!

  10. Side note larentii females only kylar so far are their going to be more and also wise one males no wise one females..
Another question Pls. Kifirin keeps popping off where to.. does he have another family that you are just waiting to introduce to us

    1. If I ever get the Saa Thalarr series rewritten, you'll see why there are very few females among the Larentii. (For a while, there weren't any)

Kifirin doesn't have another family. He's off doing stuff to keep the Dark side well, dark. (and thriving) It's a big job, but somebody has to do it :)
      Happy Friday!

  11. So, not to give away to much, but is there a reason Cheedas isn't the cook? Last I read from Blood Reunion, Lessa was going to offer her blood so he could eat and be in the sunshine? Or will the reason be revealed later?

    1. No worries, Cheedas is working into that spot. By the time Blood Double comes along, you'll see him there.
      Have a great weekend--

  12. Oh my God that was a great first book but did you have to leave us hanging like that? I wasn't sure I'd like a new heroine but seriously I love her, and well all the characters I probably shouldn't talk about in case other people haven't finished yet. Oh please hurry and finish the next book I can't wait :)

  15. Okay, after reading this book a few times I have to say I am impressed by the depth of the story. The writing gives an impression an extensive back story that has yet come to light.

My only real complaint is the colloquialisms that I am unfamiliar with, it's a bit jarring when I encounter one then have to look it up ... lol ... just goes to show that even in a country with only one official language there are still differences. Although I do have to say the "in the floor" colloquialism is almost second nature now.

  16. you know, I thought I'd gotten rid of all those, lol! I realize it's sort of an Okie-ism. My apologies.

    1. Leave them in ... I learn more that way ... the complaint is aimed more at my lack of knowledge than at you. The gods know strict english makes for extremely dry and boring reading ... I think I would have to review textbooks to write or speak that way ... /shudder.
