Office Supplies!

I am an office supply junkie. What drugs are to other people, nice pens are to me. If I find a type of pen I like, I buy several. At one time. See how I'm addicted? It's sad, I know. Sticky notes? OMG. At times, I have all my plot points written on post-its and they're lined up on the edge of my desk. Or on the bottom of my computer monitor. I could take a picture of the post-it hanging from my computer monitor right now and post it here, but it contains the BIG reveal—the one that explains almost EVERYTHING. That will have to wait.
Yes, there's only one sticky note there right now, but there are others on the computer itself, several stuck to the laptop, the printer, the file cabinets, etc., etc. The reason my desk is relatively clean at the moment is that last week I bought a new printer and I had to make room for it. Yes—that's what I splurged on this time—a new color printer. My old one died months ago, and I only hauled its carcass away when the new one arrived. The new one is wireless and I almost cried tears of joy when I printed from my laptop the first time. Nobody—and I mean Nobody—should get this emotional over office equipment.
Because of my addiction, I regularly get rewards and coupons from all the office supply stores and the electronics stores, too. Those only feed my habit. I used several last month when I bought my Tempur-Pedic office chair after my back started bothering me. If there are support groups for office supply junkies, I should probably join. "Hello, my name is Connie and I bought pens yesterday." *sigh*

  1. Sadly I am a bit the same. The other day at work we had to get new office supplies. The accounts lady was laughing because I was so excited about getting a ruler... I vote we start a support group.

  2. I thought I was the only one!
I got the cutest paper clips the other day. They're shaped like ducks, dragonflies, and fish.

    1. Thanks, Margie!
I'm so sorry to hear about the lost pens--I get upset if even one comes up missing, so I completely sympathize with your son. Hope you're having a wonderful day :)

  6. I have the same tendency as you, Connie. I never get enough of something, especially when it has satisfied me. And I can understand you being too overwhelmed when you tried out your new printer. It’s been a long time since you had your older one.
