Blood Royal is now available on Amazon.com, and the manuscript has been submitted to bn.com, so it should be available from them soon. Hope all is well with all of you today, and I hope your week is a good one!

Hi, Dare! bn.com is usually quicker at getting a book ready for sale, so I submitted last night to amazon and this morning to bn.com. Amazon has gotten faster, so I'll be submitting both at the same time from now on. I learn something new every day. Mostly it's what not to do next time, but I still learn :) Happy Monday! Connie
I got it too from Amazon, but I couldn't find it under Blood Royal - had to put your name in front to pull it up in the search. I guess tonight's going to be a late night for me, since I won't get to start it until around 8:30. I can't wait!
NOOOOOOOO! You DIDN'T just leave me hanging like that! And I have to wait HOW long for the next one? And yes, you are responsible for my lack of sleep!
Mary, my apologies :) I'm working on Blood Queen. The next two weeks will decide whether I keep the originally planned December 15th release date or not, because I have revising to do. That always takes longer than editing. I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, I'm glad you enjoyed Blood Royal :D Connie
Hi, casey993 :) Glad you like the books! I'm hoping for a December release for Blood Queen--will keep everyone posted as things come together. Thanks for posting! Connie
I loved the new book and am so excited to see what happens next in Lissa's story. I hope it comes out soon as always I am impatiently waiting till the next one even though it's usually just a few weeks. Enjoy the holidays, I'll be wishing for the next one for christmas.
Good morning Raewyn! So glad you liked the book :) I'll keep everyone updated here, on my Facebook page and on the website regarding my progress on Blood Queen. Hope your day is a happy one! Connie
It was an all-nighter but I must say it was well worth it! I just picked up your first few books 3 weeks ago and I have to say I am a HUGE fan. I wait with baited breath that we will see Blood Queen in December! BYW you have become my new favorite author!! Laura
Thanks, Sarah! I had a good day yesterday, working on revisions for Blood Queen. If I can be that productive through the next few days, I may hit the December deadline. My apologies for the loss of sleep :D Happy weekend! Connie
Hi, Laura! I'm so glad you like the books :) I am more hopeful today that I'll hit my targeted release date in December for Blood Queen--revisions went very well yesterday. Hope you can catch up on your sleep over the weekend, and thanks for posting! Connie
I know I seem to be using the same phrases that everyone else is, but I am so thankful that you were one of my recommended authors on my kindle app! I've blown through this series in a week, much to the annoyance of my family who'd like a little attention, but I truly admire your work, and as a self published author from one of my favorites areas who is possessed of an incredible talent, I beg you, please don't stop writing! I'm willing to read anything you throw out here to us! :D I was so impatient to wait the two days I had to for Blood Royal, how will I last till mid December with that cliff hanger?!
Hi, Brittany :) I'm working on revisions for Blood Queen right now, and then we'll edit. I'm trying really hard to hit that December deadline, I promise! I'm so glad you like the books--your post made my morning :D Thank you for writing, and have a wonderful weekend! Connie
I was wondering if you've ever thought about what would happen if Lissa were to bite and drink Kifirin's blood during sex? I was thinking about it and am curious what would happen to her... We know what happened when she drank Griffin
Hi, casey993 :) That's an interesting idea. Not sure that Lissa would ever consider it, or how Kifirin would react. Permission must be given before anyone takes blood from the Saa Thalarr--more on that later :D Thanks for posting! Connie
Given the ending of Blood Royal, I know this isn't a big deal in Blood Queen but I'm having trouble reconciling the motivations of some of the males, especially Gavin. In Blood Wager he was focused around his duty and the conflict as he came to respect Lissa and became more attached to her worked great to build toward the crisis of her trial. Now Gavin (and Merrill, less blatantly,) seems to bounce back and forth between blindly following Wlodek's edicts to control Lissa then 'having a meltdown' when she reacts.
From how you've drawn Gavin, I would have expected a blowup with Wlodek well before now. Merrill seems more the type to calmly disagree then refuse to go along with Wlodek's poorly-thought-out plan.
I know it's been a good plot device to get Lissa into interesting situations but perhaps you might consider alternative drivers. One that occurs to me is to flip the situation so Wlodek becomes so confident in Lissa that he throws her into the deep end of the pool with no support rather than trying to protect her.
Wlodek's poor judgement and the resultant clashes I suggested above can also lead in some interesting directions as far as leadership of the Council is concerned, especially given the devastation caused by Xenides. Merrill's unresolved subordinate position is certainly intriguing and could add complexity.
Pace. I love the series and my comments here may indicate a lack of subtlety on my part rather than a lack of planning on yours. Also, please let me know if this sort of comment is more properly an email than a blog comment.
Hello, Binjalis. Your suggestions are good ones, but the books, (alas) have already been written.I am only editing and doing a bit of revising, now. Many of the things you mentioned will become moot in Blood Queen--you'll see why very quickly. I hope some of your concerns are addressed in Blood Queen, as it is a pivotal book in the series, and many things will be different in it. I can't say much more than that without giving up major spoilers, but I may post a short excerpt from Blood Queen on this blog very soon. It was great hearing from you! Thanks for posting, and have a wonderful day. Connie
I hope they hurry up! I'm totally all over it! Have a Excellent day Connie
